WELCOME! Welcome to the Lafayette College Store, independently owned and operated by Lafayette College. All profits are added to the College General Fund. We stock all books and essential course materials needed for classes, as well as a full line of school supplies, electronics, and cool Lafayette gear! Please note that textbook and course information is as up-to-date as possible, based upon current information from our faculty and publishers. Faculty may add or delete books, and prices may change as books are received and invoiced. How Do I Shop For Textbooks? Bring your class schedule to the Lafayette College Store, find your classes (arranged alphabetically by department), select your books, and pay the cashier. Order and pay for your textbooks on the Lafayette College Store website, using the link at the bottom of this page, then pick them up in the store. For incoming Freshmen, we offer the TEXTBOOK RESERVATION PROGRAM - during the summer we receive your schedule of fall courses from our Registrar's office. We then will pull, pack and hold all of your Textbooks and charge them to your College Store Student Account (your store account is created using your student L# and linked to your Student Account Statement). Your textbooks will be ready for pick up at The Lafayette College Store on Friday, August 24th, 2018. Please bring your Student ID with you for identification purposes.
This service is free, convenient and easy! There is no need to place a separate order online for your textbooks - we do all the work for you and will have the correct textbooks for all of your courses ready, in store, waiting for you so it's one less thing to worry about!
The Lafayette College Store is proud to do all we can to lower costs and improve the learning experience of our students. We look for opportunities in using new technology, open educational resources, and the collective buying power of our students
to reduce costs, improve delivery, and better serve scholarly needs. Through collaboration with faculty and departments, we have identified specific effective practices for finding affordable textbooks. We work to share those practices with our faculty and students,
to find savings in every possible way, including but not limited to: New & Used Books - We will make every attempt to fill your order with the type of book (new or used) requested. Should that type be unavailable, we will substitute with the type we have in stock. Note: This may cause your sales total to increase or decrease, depending on the substitution.
Please note: Availability of used books is on a first come, first serve basis and is not guaranteed. New books will be provided if used are not available. This site is not always representative of our inventory as prices and availability are subject to change at any time and could affect the total billed to your Student Account Statement or credit card. If you do not want anything substituted, please write "NO BOOK SUBSTITUTIONS PLEASE" in the comment section on your checkout page.
Used Books - A used book will cost you significantly less than a new one, so we carry as many used books as we are able. Some look like new, others may be underlined or highlighted. Come in early to choose the best used books!
Rental Books - are now available for select titles in store and online for in-store pickup. By clicking the Agree button on the website, you agree to the terms and conditions of the Lafayette College Store Rental Agreement. Details should be included on your receipt.
E-Books - Please choose e-books carefully. E-books are charged separately and immediately at the time you place your order. Your e-book activation code will be emailed to the email address provided on your order. Make sure you provide an accurate email address.
Inclusive Access (IA) - Inclusive Access Courses are courses where digital content for the course is loaded into Moodle and available to you approximately 1 week prior to the start of classes. Students will be charged the price shown via either Credit Card or Student Account Statement unless they opt out by the date indicated. Your professor will tell you if the course offers IA - simply sign into Moodle to get started with your content.
